Bineta Cissé is a Senegalese gallery owner, cultural entrepreneur, founder of Galerie Vema in Dakar in 1992, the year in which she decided to devote herself to the promotion and preservation of Senegalese cultural heritage with an off-exhibition at the Dakar Biennale. The first Senegalese to direct a private gallery in Dakar, she has had a series of exhibitions and collaborations with other galleries around the world, thus helping to promote African art.
